Kherson region
The colonies of herons, thousands of warblers and hundreds of swans are hiding in the reeds there. There, in the floodplain forests, many birds of prey are hunting. Along the steep shore in the loess mountains, the roller (Coracias garrulous) is building its burrows and fascinating bird-watching lovers with its vibrant colouring. The visitors will take a real aesthetic delight in meeting the great white pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus).
When the Dnipro River heading for the Black Sea flows into the Dnipro-Bug estuary, the magnificent loess rocks of incredible beauty, better known as Kherson Mountains, show up there.
The park visitors are offered a wide variety of activities: travels along the small eriks, branches of the Dnipro and numerous lakes, canoe or kayak adventures, motorboat trips around reed beds of the Dnipro River, recreational fishing etc.
