About park

The gem of the park is the Sula River running among meadows and reed beds; on its banks, hayfields and pastures border on swamps. Downstream the river spreads
into numerous branches forming islands and shallows. Forests grow on these islands and steep slopes. The nature of the park is famous for its immense diversity of flora and fauna. The park personnel take care of numerous rare species including the European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis), the black stork (Ciconianigra), the white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), the peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) and many others. Incredible scenery of green islands among blue ribbons is displayed from the steep slopes of the Sula River right bank and its bay. The water spaces of the park attract fishermen, and the forests not only provide a chilly shelter but they are also rich in mushrooms and berries. It is a pleasure to spend time in the park — you can go rafting, pitch tents, walk along the paths and watch the birds. The Lower Sula Park always welcomes those who love and respect nature.
