Khmelnytsky region
You will be struck by the beauty of the picturesque corner where once stood the ancient city of Bakota, and today the waves of the Dniester Reservoir sweep. Here, an ancient monastery was located in the rocks. Travellers are attracted by the local springs with healing water and the opportunity to enjoy nature and tranquillity.
The park is home to 65 species of animals, and 60 species of plants listed in the Red Book of rare species of Ukraine grow there. Some wildlife, for example, the long-eared owl (Asio otus), or the great egret (Ardea alba), you can easily notice while walking along the paths of the park. Numerous underground shelters have become a cosy home for 14 species of bats – caves and other suitable places in the park are cosy homes for European bat species.
Podilski Tovtry National Nature Park is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine.
It is the largest park in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe.

Part of the park's territory is a reserve area, which is intended for protection, preservation and restoration of the most valuable natural systems. Only walking tours are possible within its borders.
