Dzharylhach National Nature Park

Kherson region

About park

Dzharylhach Island is a pearl of a park, an oasis of wildlife. This is the largest uninhabited island in Ukraine, one of the few places where the pristine unploughed steppe has been preserved, filled with the singing of larks, decorated with hundreds of lakes and coastal salt marshes with healing mud, outlined by snow-white beaches, and surrounded with a healing sea breeze. The island itself is located between two bays of the Black Sea, Dzharylhach and Karkinit.

Here you can often enounter pods of dolphins accompanying boats. What is more, the island’s unique wetlands are places where we protect rare bird species: pelicans, waders, common eiders, spoonbills, and large groups of swans and ducks which stop over during migration flights.

The island’s wild beaches and the vast sea expanses attract real Robinsons who appreciate peace and quiet, and consider time spent alone with nature to be the best rest. The ancient Dzharylhach lighthouse against the background of incredible dawns and sunsets is an unforgettable romantic image that will always remain in your heart. We welcome those travellers who appreciate a holiday in harmony with nature, who are aware of the importance of preserving this magical pearl of the South of Ukraine.
