Mykhailivska Tsilyna Nature Reserve

Sumy region

About reserve

The steppe. The endless green sea with silver feather grass waves merges with the sky somewhere beyond the horizon. Here you will see what Sumy region looked like in ancient times. The steppes are covered with colourful carpets of fragrant flowers – and you can never forget them.

Hundreds of bright butterflies and inconspicuous pink-winged, blue-winged, grey and green grasshoppers attract attention here. There are especially many bees and bumblebees in the steppe, which provide cross-pollination of plants.

You can breathe this air, quietly and carefully observe nature within the ecological trails “Reserve Steppe” and “Mykhailivska Tsilyna”. They are laid so as not to harm the nature of the Reserve.
