Tsumanska Pushcha National Nature Park in Kivertsi

Volyn region

About park

Tsumanska Pushcha has age-old pine forests and oak groves in the south of Polissia, riddled with rivers and lakes. These forests preserve the memory of the region’s history – European rulers and nobles on the hunt with Prince Vytautas, the battles of Brusilov’s breakthrough, and the name of the Radziwiłł family are still preserved in the names of natural landmarks.

Here you can see witnesses of those events, like the three 700-year-old giant oaks in the village of Horodyshche. You can try to unravel the secrets of the Devil’s Swamp, and if you’re lucky, meet the owner of these forests – the bison.

On foot, by bike or in a kayak you can discover the peculiarities of the forest. Our network of travel routes is about 600 km and is the perfect choice for both one-day trips and long hikes. Moreover, if you like to watch birds, the best “bird” place is the floodplains of the Putylivka and Horyn rivers.
