Kyiv region
Elks, roe deer, hares, foxes, rare species of forest birds have found refuge and feel safe on these lands. Here, right next to the big city, 24 species of plants listed in the Red Book of rare species of Ukraine can be found, including the small pasque flower (Pulsatilla pratensis), Stipa borysthenica, the Siberian iris (Iris sibirica), the martagon lily (Lilium martagon). Rare fauna species are represented by the smooth snake (Coronella austriaca), the otter (Lutra), the stoat (Mustela erminea), the Old World swallowtail (Papilio Machaon), the European stag beetle (Lucanus cervus), the musk beetle (Aromia moschata).
This is the place where prehistoric humans hunted, Scythian tribes lived and pagan rituals took place. In these forests you can still feel the nature that helped our ancestors to build Rus and the Christian faith thousand years ago. In addition, in these forests you will see the fortifications designed to protect Kyiv during World War II. The nature becomes history here.

It is prohibited to ride quad bikes and other motorized vehicles, light fires outside the designated places, damage roots and bark of trees, break branches, uproot plants, disturb wild animals and leave litter in the territory of Holosiivskyi NNP.
